Concordia Lutheran Seminary is offering an online ‘extension’ course available to all who are interested in the history of Lutherans in Canada. Taught by Professor Emeritus, Dr. Norman Threinen, The History of the Lutheran Church in Canada will be offered entirely online and available wherever the internet is accessible.
The History of the Lutheran Church in Canada
An overview of the historical developments of the Lutheran Church within the Canadian context. Some broad goals of this course are:
The course will include readings from selected texts, written reflections on readings, and online interactions with Dr. Threinen and other students.
Beginning October 5th and ending December 13th, the course covers 10 units over 10 weeks. Course registration cost is $100.
Concordia Lutheran Seminary’s Extension program is developing a non-credit Certificate of the Seminary, which will include existing offerings, such as Quest and Timothy Lectures, and incorporate new experiences such as online courses.
The History of the Lutheran Church in Canada is the first online course that is part of the ongoing non-credit Certificate of the Seminary program.
