Seminary offers live, online course on Christian ethics

Monday, January 4, 2010

EDMONTON — Canadian Christians with access to a computer and high-speed internet can participate in a live online course focusing on ethics and daily life later this month.

Rev. Dr. Manfred Zeuch, president of Concordia Lutheran Seminary (CLS), will deliver the non-credit extension course, Christian Ethics for Daily Life, over four consecutive Tuesdays starting January 26.

The course will focus on commandments four to 10.

“We will bring participants to the class from across the country through the use of video conferencing technology,” said Rev. Daniel Deyell, director of development at CLS, in a press release.

The online course is a first for CLS and is part of its continuing education program.

Participants will log onto a website, where they can see and listen to the lecture. They will also be able to ask Zeuch questions by typing into an online chat forum.

The course runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (MT) January 26, February 2, February 9, and February 16. Registration is $25.
