Mission Work in San Jose
Missionary Pedro Quintero and his family began work in Costa Rica in 2006. He visited suburbs of San Jose, met people, visited homes and shared the Gospel. The community of Alajuelita showed the greatest response. Thanks to the Concordia Lutheran Missionary Society (CLMS), Quintero rented a facility, now the centre of his ministry. Quintero says 20 adults regularly worship and study the Bible. He prays for God's continues blessings.

From University to the Pulpit
Edmundo Retana came face–to–face with Lutheran theology at the University of Costa Rica and began to search for a Lutheran community that reflected his discovery. He found it. With the support of missionary Quintero, Retana applied to Iglesia Luterana Sínodo de Nicaragua for colloquy. He began studies in 2008. Rev. Edmundo Retana was ordained and received into the Iglesia Luterana Sínodo de Nicaragua (ILSN) May 23, 2009 and has been called to open a mission outpost in the community of Birrestio. This is a new outreach ministry. We pray for God's blessings.

Into Honduras
Missionary Douglas Agular serves in the city Olanchito, Honduras and carries out an outreach ministry in surrounding villages. He thanks the Lutheran Women's Missionary League–Canada ABC District (LWMLC) for resources to purchase land for a worship centre. Agular spends his time on visitations, confirmation and Bible classes and, of course, worship.
