Today we are asking members of YOUR PARISH NAME HERE to bring forward the names of young men and women whom you feel God may be calling to fulltime church work. The nomination form in todays bulletin outlines the qualities you look for in a potential church worker. Following the sermon you will be given the opportunity to fill in the form and then place it in the offering plate. Since our Synods recruitment initiative began in 1998, more than 230 future church workers have been identified in 63 congregations including NAMES SUBMITTED FROM YOUR PARISH from this congregation. Each person was interviewed and he or she receives encouragement from the pastor and LCCs university and seminaries. God calls workers from among His people. As a young man, our pastor was nurtured and encouraged in his home congregation. Today is your opportunity to ensure that when parishes need pastors or church workers, there is someone ready to accept the call. Ask God who you can encourage to consider serving Him in fulltime church work.
